As a child I would lay on my stomach on the floor and draw profiles of famous people for hours.
At 12 I took Saturday morning drawing at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln - an eye opener into the world of fine art. At Pueblo Junior College (as it was called then) in Colorado, I had a wonderful teacher who taught sculpture and oil painting. Years later I studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania. My favorite teacher was an old Russian master who taught life drawing and painting. After marriage and raising two children, I took workshops with the likes of Daniel Greene, David Leffel, Michael Lynch, Jim Wilcox, Richard Schmid, Carolyn Anderson and others.
I am available for commission portraits.
